Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of iuLaTeX (the "Service"), available at iulatex.com. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

iuLaTeX is a tool for writing, previewing, saving, and sharing LaTeX snippets. Some features — writing and previewing LaTeX, and exporting rendered output — are available without an account. Saving snippets, building a library, and favoriting other people's snippets require signing in with a Google account.

2. Accounts

To save content, you must sign in using Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Google account linked to your iuLaTeX account. We are not responsible for any loss arising from unauthorized access to your Google account.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of the LaTeX code, titles, descriptions, and other content you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant iuLaTeX a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service — for example, displaying your public snippets to other visitors.

Snippets are public by default. Anyone with the link, or who finds it through the Explore page, can view a public snippet, its rendered output, and its associated tags and author information.

You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the right to share it. Do not submit content that infringes someone else's intellectual property rights.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit.
  • Infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property right.
  • Upload malware, or attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service in a way that sends more requests than a human could reasonably produce.
  • Attempt to circumvent any content moderation, rate limiting, or access control mechanism.

5. Content Moderation

Users may report public snippets they believe violate these Terms. We reserve the right, but do not assume the obligation, to review reported content and to remove content, make a snippet private, suspend, or permanently ban an account that we determine — at our sole discretion — violates these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service itself — including its design, branding, and underlying software — is owned by iuLaTeX and its operator, except for Your Content and open-source components used to build the Service. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of the Service to you.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, including deleting your account and associated content, if we determine you have violated these Terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice where circumstances warrant it (for example, abuse or illegal content).

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that rendered LaTeX output will always be accurate.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, iuLaTeX and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

10. Changes to the Service or These Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; if we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to its conflict of law principles, unless otherwise required by the mandatory law of your country of residence.
